The nylon coils actually flex as you press, so the potato glides through without me having to wrestle the handle. First time I’ve mashed a whole pot without a single lump, and cleanup took seconds.

The spring mechanism is genius—push down and it flattens to force the potato through that thin coil gap, so you get perfectly smooth mash with almost no effort. I’ve used it three times already and my wrists don’t ache at all compared to my old masher.

Took me a minute to figure out why the coils are so springy, but once I did, mashing was effortless—no more fighting with a solid disk. Cleanup is a breeze too since the nylon doesn't grab onto starch like metal does.
